Beginning in 2020, NASCAR’s premier series was renamed the NASCAR Cup Series and featured four cornerstone brands as Premier Partners: Busch Beer, Coca-Cola, GEICO, and Xfinity. All four partners are prominently featured across the sport’s platforms, including integrations in broadcast, NASCAR digital and social channels, event entitlements, in-market promotions, and on-track activations. Beginning in 2017, NASCAR improved the on-track product by introducing stage racing, which ensures more highlight-reel moments during a race, increases the sense of urgency, and emphasizes aggressive racing and strategy. The battle on the track also includes Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota, which have reached a level of parity that almost guarantees the battle for the manufacturer championship will go down to the wire.
NASCAR’s global reach is felt far and wide, with international series in Mexico (NASCAR Mexico Series), Canada (NASCAR Pinty’s Series), and across Europe (NASCAR Whelen Euro Series), as well as Cup Series broadcasts available in 195 countries and 29 languages. Daniel Suarez (Mexico) and Alon Day (Israel) have recently joined the ranks of NASCAR Cup Series drivers who began their careers on NASCAR’s international circuits. NASCAR raced into the future in 2018 with the launch of the eNASCAR, building on more than 70 years of on-track success. eNASCAR is uniquely positioned to drive the sport forward by fostering fan engagement and driver development through the use of gaming and esports. The various initiatives under the eNASCAR umbrella will bring together drivers, teams, and the industry like never before in order to create a brighter and stronger future for the sport.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, North America’s highest level of sports car competition, is defined by exotic cars, international stars, and premier road courses and street circuits. At prestigious endurance events such as the Rolex 24, 14 manufacturers and championship drivers from NASCAR, open-wheel, and international sports car competitions compete for the top step on the podium. Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, and Petit Le Mans are all held at Daytona.
All three NASCAR national series are broadcast on the FOX Sports and NBC Sports networks. NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series races, qualifying, and practice sessions are broadcast on FOX and FS1 during the first half of each year. For the remainder of the season, both series will be broadcast on NBC and NBCSN. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race season is broadcast on FS1 throughout the season. During the season, affiliate networks such as FS2 or CNBC are sometimes used to fill NASCAR programming gaps. If you want to cancel your NASCAR subscription, please continue reading.
