Justine Kelly still serves as the Executive Chef for the company, while Adam Zbar is the Chief Executive Officer. The company is privately owned and is headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Sun Basket’s primary goal is to provide healthy food choices to its customers. They work closely with the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society organizations. Though the headquarters are in San Francisco, there are also distribution centers located in San Jose, CA; St. Louis, and Westampton, NJ. Sun Basket offers ten different meal plans. Chef’s Choice is hand-picked by the chef and includes top-quality meats and seafood. Carb-Conscious features meals that have 25-35g net carbs or fewer. The Paleo plan features clean, high-protein recipes with fresh veggies and top-quality meats and seafood. Mediterranean features seasonal and responsibly raised meat and wild-caught seafood with whole grains, good fats, and fresh herbs. Lean & Clean includes meals with lean proteins and clean ingredients. Gluten-free includes gluten-free alternatives. The Vegan plan includes meatless recipes that are seasoned and organic. The Quick & Easy meal plan includes time-friendly recipes. The Vegetarian includes vibrant and creative recipes. The Diabetes-Friendly plan has healthy and delicious meals that help manage diabetes. Customers choose at least 2 dinners per week, with 2-4 servings per dinner. Pricing varies based on the meal selected, its size, and any add-ons.
