Lucille Roberts was founded by the late Lucille Roberts, an American businesswoman, and entrepreneur who was born in Tajikistan and immigrated to the United States in the 1950s. She was one of the first women to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania’s College for Women in 1964 and earn a degree from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management. Lucille Roberts opened her first gym near the Macy’s flagship store in midtown Manhattan in 1969, with the goal of providing affordable exercise facilities specifically tailored to women. As the popularity of the gyms grew, they eventually expanded to 50 locations throughout the northeastern United States. She also wrote and published Computercise and The Lucille Roberts 14-Day Makeover. Lucille Roberts passed away in 2003 at the age of 59, leaving behind her husband and two children. She is remembered as a pioneer of female empowerment and a key figure in the fitness industry. Follow these steps:

1. Contact customer service at the phone number of the gym you most frequently attend or signed up at
2. Ask for and write down the steps you need to take to cancel
3. Give the rep your account info
4. Advise the rep that you need to cancel
5. if instructed, you may need to send a certified letter to the gym. Ask for the address and follow our other set of instructions for more on how to accomplish that!
6. You may need to call back a few days later to ensure your account was cancelled.
7. Be sure to keep the email and/or confirmation info about the cancellation

2. Advise the rep that you need to cancel within the body of the letter
3. Be sure to get a confirmation number or email for the cancellation in reply to your letter. Sign and date your letter.
4. Sending with Certified Mail, address your letter to the address given to you by the gym on the phone.
5. Contact customer service at the phone number of the gym a few days after your certified letter tracking shows it’s been received by the gym to ensure your account is cancelled
