Spin Academy is an online training program and school for DJs. The program was founded in 2011 by Andrew Wilkinson and Roshan Virk. The school was founded to give aspiring and new DJs a resource to help improve their skills via video tutorials from successful DJs and music producers from around the world. Videos on Spin Academy cover a variety of skills and information including advice on purchasing equipment, various DJ skills, and techniques like cueing, beatmatching, transitions, effects, scratching, and creating original tracks as well as including information on a wide range of software and hardware used by producers and DJs including Traktor, Serato, Ableton, Pioneer, Techniques, Numark, and Vestax devices and programs among others. Memberships to Spin Academy include unlimited access to the full library of tutorials and materials on the site for the duration of the membership. Memberships can be purchased as a monthly subscription or an annual subscription. Monthly subscriptions are available for $19.95 per month billed every 30 days. Annual subscriptions are available at a discount, for $149.95 billed once per year which is the equivalent of $12.49 per month. Both monthly and annual subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the paid subscription period. Neither subscription option has a minimum commitment term however and both can be canceled at any time by the member. Refunds may or may not be available for the unused paid time that remains on the subscription.
