Flickr is a media sharing and hosting website that was founded in the early 2000s. The founders were Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake. When the company first launched, it was owned by Ludicorp. Since then, the website has been acquired by Smug Mug. The Flickr headquarters are located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Flickr is available in various languages, including English, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. There are currently over 80 million active Flickr members.
With Flickr, you can upload photos and/or videos to the website. The uploaded content is shared with members all around the world. When you have a Flickr profile, other members will be able to access your profile and view the posted content. You will be able to add friends to your profile so that they will be able to see all of the latest content that you upload. You can edit photos using the Photoshop feature, which will allow you to create better quality and professional-looking photos and videos. There are currently tens of billions of content and millions of photo groups uploaded to Flickr. You do not need to register and have an account to view the content that is on the website, but if you plan to post content, you will need to register for a Flickr account. Flickr Free allows you to upload 1,000 photos/videos and allows you to edit, organize, and share them. There is advertising on the free accounts. With an upgraded plan, you will have unlimited storage, advanced statistics, and free back-up with Auto-Uploader. It is $5.99 per month. With the Annual Plan, you will be able to do the same things as the monthly upgraded plan, but the plan will be charged on a yearly basis. When you sign up for an annual plan, the price will be discounted to $42.48 for 12 months. There is no advertising on the upgraded monthly and annual plans. With the Annual Plan, you will receive exclusive discounts from Adobe, Blurb, SmugMug, and Priime.

Follow these steps:
In a browser, goto Flickr.com
Get logged in with username and password
Pick the option labeled your picture in the top right corner
Select settings from the menu
Navigate down on the page to locate an option labeled Deactivate Your Account and click it
Now enter your information and complete the deactivation process
