Movie Pass is a subscription-based movie ticketing company. It was founded seven years ago in 2011 by entertainment entrepreneurs, Stacy Spikes and Hamet Watt. The headquarters are located in New York City, NY. The current CEO is Mitch Lowe, who is also the president at Redbox and an executive at Netflix. The company is owned by Helios and Matheson Analytics and Oath, Inc. The Subsidiaries are MoviePass Films and MoviePass Ventures. As of February 2018, the company has 3 million subscribers.

The process is pretty simple. First, you sign up for the service and get your card. Your Movie Pass card will be mailed directly to you. Once your card is received, you download the app. The app will include available theaters and showtimes. Finally, you check in with the app, head to the theater, and purchase your movie ticket with your Movie Pass card. Movie Pass has the largest theater network in America, so over 91% of theaters in the U.S. are available.

For $9.95 per month, you can enjoy three movies per month. You are able to see not only blockbusters, but also independent films. You can choose between a select number of films by checking out the online schedule. If you need more tickets each month, each additional ticket is only $5. This will vary based on your theater and location. You will also get exclusive member-only invites to special events and movie screenings.
