F.Y.E., which stands for For Your Entertainment, is a chain of entertainment retail stores that began in Trumbull CT’s mall in 1993 by Bob Higgins. As of 2018, the chain has 270 locations throughout the United States and its headquarters in Albany, NY. The stores carry music CDs, vinyl music records, movies on DVD and Blu-Ray, video games, merchandise, and electronics items. FYE offers its backstage VIP program as a customer loyalty and discount service. Members receive a 10% discount on their purchases in stores or online via the FYE website and a 20% discount on purchases on their birthday, 5-10% cash back on purchases made at retailers in the member network, 5-20% discounts on purchases for gift cards at participating retailers including Staples, CVS and Red Robin among others, 10-50% off when dining at over 50,000 participating restaurants, a monthly $10.00 cash back rebate on restaurant dining, mail-in rebates on movie ticket purchases, discounts at amusement parks and hotels, and discounts on auto care purchases such as car washes, oil changes and routine maintenance, as well as discounts on car rentals of $10.00 to $30.00 off at participating car rental vendors. A one-month free trial is available for the backstage VIP program, with the trial converting to a standard paid membership if not cancelled during the trial period. Ongoing memberships will charge $11.99 per month with the membership automatically renewing each month until cancelled. A lower level of benefits is available with the Platinum backstage pass which only includes the discount on purchases and some additional coupons via email. Platinum memberships are only available in store for $25.00 per year. Either type of membership may be cancelled at any time.
