Amazon Drive is a cloud storage option provided to customers of Amazon.

Amazon is a multi-national technology company founded in 1994 by Jeff Bezos in Bellevue, Washington and based currently in Seattle, Washington with a secondary headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. One of the most valuable companies in the world, Amazon is the second largest technology company by revenue, and the second largest employer in the USA.

Along with several other add-on services, Amazon Drive is offered to Amazon customers, and one plan level is included in the company’s Amazon Prime subscription plan. Amazon Drive allows customers to store, organize, and back up their photos and videos via the website, mobile application, or a desktop computer application. Prime members are provided with unlimited photo storage and 5 GB of space for video storage in addition to their other Prime membership benefits with no additional charge. A plan that offers 100 GB of storage space is offered as a standalone service for $11.99 per year. If the customer has a Prime subscription, their photos stored in the Amazon Drive do not count toward the 100 GB space limit. A plan offering 1 TB of storage space is offered for $59.99 per year as a standalone service. If the customer has a Prime subscription, their photos stored in their Amazon drive do not count toward this 1 TB space limit.

Just like Prime subscriptions, Amazon Drive subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, since there is no minimum commitment with these subscriptions. Customers are advised to ensure they have downloaded their stored files before cancelling the subscription. Refunds may be available for the remaining time left on the membership if it is cancelled before the end of the paid year.
